Charming stay with stunning views

We had an unforgettable stay, celebrating our anniversary in a cozy room that boasted beautiful views of the surrounding hills. The restaurant was a standout, serving delicious and locally sourced dishes, and the breakfast was particularly superb with options that clearly showcased quality ingredients. The staff were incredibly warm and went out of their way to make our stay special, even arranging a lovely bouquet for our celebration. One aspect that could be improved would be the noise from the nearby road, which was a bit disruptive at times.

The Traveller'S Rest had a charming decor with lovely, comfortable lounge areas for relaxation and dining, and its harmonious atmosphere was just perfect for my short getaway. The staff were incredibly warm, making me feel truly at home.

A few more handrails would enhance accessibility for seniors.

the location was great with good parking n lovely views. waking up to the sounds of lambs was so charmn and made our stay even better. the staff, especially the italian cook/waiter, were really polite n friendly, which added to the overall vibe. the room was super clean n comfy too, perfect for a family brek. def recommend for a cozy getaway!

The food was a real highlight—fresh-cracked eggs and scrumptious dishes that only add to Grasmere's charm. Plus, our King Room was lovely with character galore! The lounge area was perfect for a quiet cuppa after a day out.

While we loved the stay, a bit more choice on the menu would’ve spiced things up, and a clean window wouldn’t hurt either—what a view if only the glass was clearer!

It was just a solid selection for strolling around in Grasmere with incredible value for money. The walls were a bit thin, but we still had an amazing stay overall. Consider bringing earplugs for a more restful night.

I loved the delicious food in the restaurant and the easy access to stunning trails nearby, making my weekend walk adventures even more enjoyable. The cozy atmosphere and dog-friendly vibe made it feel like a home away from home, but the room was a bit small for my family's comfort.

Breakfast was amazing with delicious food and unlimited coffee! The garden area was perfect for relaxation, and I enjoyed unwinding in the cozy TV lounge, too. The only downside was a bit of traffic noise in the morning, but it didn't ruin our peaceful nights. 😊

Charming Getaway with Character!

Enjoyed our 2-night stay in a cozy Standard Double Room. The lovely local bakery nearby offered delicious breakfast pastries. Though the room was warmer than expected, sipping tea on the windowsill was a delight. Suggest packing a portable fan for comfort during warm nights!

i stayed at traveller's rest for two nights and it was just lovely! the location is perfect, really close to scenic spots for walks. the standard double room was cozy and met all my needs. plus, it’s dog-friendly, which is a huge plus for me. i appreciate the quick and friendly service during my stay. definitely a cozy spot to return to!
